32 Days and the cast is OFF!

We went to Boston today for cast removal after 32 long days. The process of that is fairly quick but extremely miserable for Callan as he hated the noise / vibration. We went for X-rays after doing a quick wipe down (the cast gets really gross 🤢) X-rays showed the bones looked good and even some more growth of newer bones. The surgeon said we were all set and didn’t need any addition checkups, his stitches would dissolve on their own, we would just need to keep an eye on the healing. We were able to get home and give him a proper bath finally!! Since he had the cast on for so long he did loose quite a bit of strength so sitting up has been hard and he can’t crawl yet but with days he should be working on his strength to get back to where he was. Seeing his legs for the first time since his surgery was honestly amazing it breaks my heart that he even has to go through any of this but everytime I see how strong he is it just reminds me that it’ll be okay His strength is so incredible it leaves me with no words.
