It’s The Little Things Always

Anyone who’s met Callan knows his happy, wild personality—he never slows down. Since getting his cast off, he’s had no choice but to take it easy. But yesterday, on the car ride home, he did something I’ll never forget. He lifted his pant leg, looked down at his legs, smiled, laughed, and started to dance. As a mom who’s watched her baby go through some of the most painful and challenging procedures, that small moment made everything worth it.

Yes, he’s slowed down while he regains his strength, but it brings me so much peace knowing he’ll be back to himself sooner rather than later. Even last night—his very first night cast-free—he was already sitting up on his own. Just a minor setback, and a reminder of how strong and determined he truly is. 💙
